General Terms and Conditions

The Terms and Conditions given hereunder form the basis of our agreement and understanding with our guest.  The guest must read, understand and accept all the terms and conditions mentioned below before registering self/family/friends for any of our tours.

A. PAYMENT POLICY

1. Booking amount mentioned per head for every tour needs to be paid as per scheduled instalments for the tour given in the Tour Plan.

2. Total tour price needs to be paid in full 30 days before start of the tour, failing which the reservation of seat[s] will be treated as cancelled.

3. Booking amounts are accepted in Cash/Account Payee Cheque/ Online transfer/ Bank drafts. 

B. TOUR PRICE, INCLUSIONS AND EXCLUSIONS:

1. Tour price includes:

ü Transportation from the start till end of the tour as per tour plan.

ü Accommodation as per tour plan

ü Meals as per meal plan given with a tour.

ü Guide charges, entry fees as per tour plan.

2. Exclusions: The Guest must bear entry fees and other charges, unless otherwise specifically mentioned in the tour plan, including tips, extra luggage charges, any taxes, camera charges, etc.

3. Taxes:Applicable government taxes including GST and TCS needs to be paid as per the rate prescribed by the government from time to time. Currently, 5% GST applies to all domestic tour packages. Additionally, for any foreign packages, 5% GST + 5% TCS are applicable over the total tour cost.

4. Force Majeure: If the tour is extended due to any unavoidable circumstances, full or partial refund request cannot be entertained. Any extra costs under such exceptional circumstances will have to be borne by the Guest. Decision of the Travelanaa Team Leader will be final and binding upon on all Guests under such circumstances.

C. ACCOMMODATION, TRANSPORTATION AND FOOD:

1. Travelanaa does not own or manage the accommodation, restaurants, vehicles and other facilities used in conjunction with the tours arranged. While the Company has exercised care in selecting providers of travel, accommodation, restaurants and other facilities, the Company may not have had the opportunity to inspect them and do not represent such accommodation, restaurants, vehicles and other facilities and services.

2. Accommodation: The category of accommodation to be provided during the tour are mentioned clearly in the tour package. Any request to change the hotel category cannot be entertained during the tour. 

Normally double or triple sharing room are provided for lodging. Family members are accommodated in the same room[s] as the case may be. In some tours, under exceptional circumstances like staying at homestays in offbeat places this may not be possible. Such exceptions are clearly mentioned in the tour plan.

Room allotment will be on lottery basis at each and every place of accommodation, any request otherwise by the Guest cannot be entertained. However, the Guest is free to exchange room with other Guest[s] as per their mutual agreement without involving the Travelanaa Team Leader. 

3. Transportation: The modes of transportation for each leg of the tour are mentioned in the tour plan. We normally provide SUVs [for no. of Guests upto 6] or Tempo Traveller [for more than 6 Guests] with comfortable sitting arrangements for road trips.

During road trips, vehicle seats will be allocated on a rotational basis, any request otherwise by the Guest cannot be entertained. 

4. Food:  Please note that while we provide sumptuous healthy meals according to availability at each location, we do not take any cook with us. The food menu will be solely decided by Team Leader appointed by Travelanaa. A Guest is free to choose any other items beyond it at his/her own cost.

5. Additional/Optional tours: Tours are conducted as per itinerary, any request to alter the itinerary or visit some extra places other than mentioned in the itinerary will not be entertained. However, if a Guest chooses to visit some extra places within the given time frame at each place, he/she can do so at his own cost, risk and responsibility, subject to confirmation by the Travelanna Team Leader.

C. CANCELLATION POLICY:

1. If a Guest chooses to opt out of the tour the following amounts will be refunded:

i. Cancellation between 60 – 150 days prior to departure date - 80% of deposited money will be refunded.

ii. Cancellation between 30-60 days prior to departure - 50% of deposited money will be refunded.

iii. No refunds in case of cancellation later than 30 days prior to departure.

2. No cancellation request can be accepted without any written request through mail.

D. RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GUESTS:

1. It is the responsibility of the Guest[s] to go through the tour plan as well as the terms and conditions prior to booking for the tour. It is assumed that the Guest[s] have read and understood the tour plan as well as the terms and conditions before booking and embarking upon the journey with Travelanaa.

2. It is the responsibility of the Guest to report at the scheduled place date and time at the start of the tour. The company cannot be held liable if a Guest fails to report at the scheduled place and time at the start of the tour for any reason whatsoever, including delay/cancellation of flight or train and no refund can be issued in such a case.

3. It is the responsibility of the Guest to conform to the time frame and the tour plan. Decision of the Travelanaa Team Leader is final and binding upon all the Guests during the trip.

4. Guests must carry their Govt. approved photo identity card/ passport as per legal requirements throughout the journey.

5. It is the responsibility of the Guest to respect the local law and customs. The company cannot take responsibility for the consequences arising out of any act[s] of the Guest leading to violation of local customs and laws of the land.

E. FORCE MAJEURE:

1. Tour itinerary declared before commencement of tour can only be changed due to unavoidable circumstances like natural calamities, war, civil commotions, pandemics etc. at the discretion of the Travelanaa Team Lead considering the safety and practicality of the circumstances. Such decisions will be binding upon the Guests. Any request to change the tour itinerary from the Guests cannot be entertained.

2. If the tour program is altered, varied, extended or cancelled due to any unavoidable circumstances, the Company cannot be held liable for the same.

F. DISCLAIMERS:

1. The Company cannot be held liable for any loss/ damage of life/ robbery/ theft of passenger’s belongings whatsoever during the trip.

2. It is assumed that the passengers are fully aware of the Tour Plan, Terms & Conditions as well as the Cancellation policy of the company before joining our tour.

3. Any additional terms and conditions relating to a specific tour will be mentioned in the tour plan.

G. LEGAL JURISDICTION:

1. All disputes and legal matters will be subject to Kolkata Jurisdiction only.
